About Us
Jim King has been in full time ministry over 40 years. Along with his wife Pam they established Awaking Hope over 30 years ago. They are involved in mobilizing church leaders and lay people in various endeavors, as well as leading scores of ministry teams from local churches across America on international crusades and conferences to Israel, Ukraine and Russia. The Kings have established or sponsored over 300 Bible schools in video format and planted 217 new churches in the nations of Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Kyrgyzstan and Israel.
Awaking Hope is also involved extensively in humanitarian projects, bringing help and hope to the less fortunate. One result of these efforts was establishing House of Joy orphanage in Kahovka, Ukraine. This also opened the door for them to travel inside North Korea.
Currently they are extensively involved in Israel strengthening churches. Doors have also opened to be involved with the military there. Jim and Pam regularly serve as hosts on Holy Land Tours to Israel. For information on the tours email: info@awakinghope.com
When in the USA the Kings keep an extensive travel schedule speaking in churches, conferences and retreats. Forever changed by Pam’s healing of an incurable disease in 1984, Jim and Pam passionately believe in the power of the Word of God and His desire to work miracles in the lives of people.
Awaking Hope offices are located in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Our Focus
Our vision is to proclaim the light of God’s Word to those held in spiritual darkness. To awaken the hope of healing through the power of His name. To encourage and equip His people. To assist the poor, the orphan, and the widow.
Our purpose is to bring hope to the hearts of people in areas where hope has grown dim. We have three areas of focus through these 30+ years: church planting, church development, and humanitarian relief through various social programs. No amount of material relief can provide true and lasting hope. That alone comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. However, when the two can be combined, one has a powerful platform to meet the true needs of humanity.
