About us

Awaking Hope was established by Jim and Pam King over 30 years ago. In 1994 they moved their family to Kyiv, Ukraine and began working with national leaders to see churches planted. Through these years Awaking Hope has seen 213 churches planted among Russian and Ukrainian speaking people in Eastern Europe as well as Israel. The Kings have lead scores of ministry teams from local churches across America on international crusades and conferences to various countries, with a primary focus on Ukraine and Israel.

 In 1995 the Kings established a humanitarian fund focused on answering the cry of the less fortunate. One result was establishing House of Joy orphanage in Kahovka, Ukraine at the request of the government. 

Awaking Hope began its work in Israel in 1999, largely through the connection of Russian and Ukrainian Jews making aliyah and returning to the Jewish homeland in fulfillment of Bible prophecy.Jim and Pam serve as hosts on annual Holy Land Tours to Israel. The ministry has extensive involvement in Israel with churches and the military in these critical times. Forever changed by Pam’s healing of an incurable disease in 1984, Jim and Pam passionately believe in the power of the Word of God and His desire to work miracles in the lives of people. 

The Kings are the proud parents of two children, Drew and Natalie. They enjoy fun with six grandchildren. They reside in Tulsa, OK. The offices of Awaking Hope are located in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Our Focus

Our vision is to proclaim the light of God’s Word to those held in spiritual darkness. To awaken the hope of healing through the power of His name. To encourage and equip His people. To assist the poor, the orphan, and the widow.

Our purpose is to bring hope to the hearts of people in areas where hope has grown dim. We have three areas of focus through these 30+ years: church planting, church development, and humanitarian relief through various social programs. No amount of material relief can provide true and lasting hope. That alone comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. However, when the two can be combined, one has a powerful platform to meet the true needs of humanity.
